King’s Project 2016

Day 4

Sunday, July 10

It was a beautiful Sunday here in spite of a light shower this morning during our sound check at the Stockton Parish Church where five local churches met together for worship at a small park next to the church.  Students led worship and we saw six new believers baptized. We heard a testimony of deliverance and hope from one of the members, and three people responded to the call to faith in Christ. We stopped in the quaint town of Yarm for lunch, and then we hosted a carnival with games and free food at Preston Park in Stockton.  Students delivered another powerful concert in the park after the carnival.  During evening worship, we heard from Cory Butler, previous PBC Jr High Student minister who is now living and serving here in York. His challenge was to depend on the Holy Spirit to move in great ways in our lives every single day instead of leaning on our own strength. We are excited for ministry days starting tomorrow. Pray for our students as they go to ministry sites tomorrow and share the love and hope of Jesus in the communities they serve.  Matthew 5.14-16  ””You’re here to be light… Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!  Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”  #KingsProject2016
